1. Price and Payment

1.1. The purchase price for the system is the price shown on the Contract to Purchase Agreement.

1.2. A non-refundable 10% deposit is payable on signing this contract subject to the mandatory 10 days cooling off period or any other statutory obligations. The outstanding balance must be paid in full upon completion of the system installation.

2. STCs and other Government rebates

2.1. This agreement is subject to the Australian government providing a multiplier of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STC) via the Solar Credits Scheme. 

2.2. The customer authorizes HQ Solar to submit an application to the STCs providing agency or government body on the customer’s behalf

2.3. The customer warrants that they have not claimed the STCs or any other solar rebate on the installation site otherwise they will be liable to pay back any claims to HQ Solar or the respective government departments.

2.4. The overall sale price is dependent on the Small Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) value. If the STCs value changes in the period between the time of sale and installation or there is any change to the RET Program, HQ Solar reserves the right to adjust the sale price accordingly.

2.5. After installation, the customer agrees to sign over the STCs to HQ Solar or its nominated agent/representative. 

2.6. If HQ Solar fails to receive payment for the STCs, for any reason whatsoever, the customer will be required to pay the amount owing within 21 days from the day of the receipt of notice.

3. Possible Additional Costs

3.1. Electricity meter changeovers, meter board upgrades are not included in the price. If the existing switchboard and/or electrical infrastructure at the installation address, or any other surfaces or structures where the System is to be installed, do not comply with all relevant legal requirements (including all relevant codes and regulations) the customer may need to repair, replace or upgrade these at their own cost prior to the installation.

4. Cooling off Period

4.1. This agreement is subject to a cooling off period of 10 days during which the customer may give notice to the seller of rescission of this agreement. 

4.2. Within the 10 day cooling off period the customer is entitled to the refund of their full deposit with no charges.

5. Authority to Install

5.1. The customer authorizes HQ Solar (and its employees, agents or contractors) to install the system or systems which the customer has agreed to purchase, at the address set out on Contract to Purchase agreement.

5.2. The customer warrants that they are the rightful owner of the property located at the address as set out on the Contract to Purchase agreement. The customer must ensure that HQ Solar and its employees, agents and contractors have sufficient access to that property in order to install the system.

6. Ownership and Risk

6.1. Ownership of the solar system will pass to the customer upon payment in full of the Purchase Price for that system.

6.2. Risk in the solar system will pass to the customer when that system is installed at the address shown in the Contract to Purchase agreement. We strongly advise that the customer checks with their home and contents insurer regarding cover for the solar system.

7. Product and Workmanship Warranties

7.1. All products and equipment used are covered by manufacturer’s warranties. All requests for assistance under these warranties must be made by contacting our office.

7.2. HQ Solar warrants that our installer will be suitably qualified, experienced, duly licensed and/or registered and will be accredited for installation of the system/s with the CEC (Clean Energy Council) and/or any other relevant body. All installation work is covered by the HQ Solar installation warranty for a period of 2 years from date of installation.

8. Roof Damage

8.1. Due to the fragile nature of tiles breakages sometimes happen. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide replacement tiles on site on the day of installation. If tiles are available our installers will replace any broken tiles with the spares provided by the owner. If no replacement tiles are available it will be the owner’s responsibility to repair the roof.

9. Performance Disclaimer

9.1. The Customer acknowledges that the calculated system power generation is an approximation. HQ Solar does not guarantee performance of the product other than extending the manufacturer’s performance warranty
